SPECTRAL SHAPING FILTER
Alpine Research OpticsRequest Info
Alpine Research Optics has launched a spectral shaping filter that produces pulses as short as 5 fs from ultrafast Ti:sapphire amplifiers. The intracavity optic is a dielectric coated filter with a spectral transmission curve that is designed to compensate for spectral narrowing caused by gain flattening. It is available in 25- and 50-mm diameters. Varying the angle of incidence at which the filter is mounted adjusts the center wavelength, matching its performance to the skewed spectral gain curve of chirped amplifiers. Rotating the filter angle relative to the beam polarization increases or decreases its transmission maximum, so the same filter can be used in multipass and regenerative amplifiers.
