Vincent_NS25.jpgVincent Associates is offering a 25-mm-aperture version of its patent-pending noncontact actuation system (N-CAS) shutter, the Uniblitz NS25. The device has no solenoids and no linkages and only six moving parts, five of which are the blades. It can be configured for uni- or bi-stable operation at the time of purchase, and its VDM1000 single-channel controller allows operation in both modes. The damping system is integrated to provide long and quiet operation. The housed and unhoused units operate on voltages from 24 to 36 VDC. The unhoused model is in a Euro card configuration for fitting into a Euro 3U rack. The devices are triggered by a TTL pulse into a BNC connector and can be triggered to operate from an RS-232C port.
