OSRAM_Power_TOPLED_lens.jpgOsram GmbH’s Power TopLEDs, based on thin-film chip technology, produce high brightness with a 30° or a 60° beam angle. The company says that, in red and yellow, the 30° surface-mount-technology LEDs outperform radial versions in applications including exchange rate displays, speed indicators and service displays at railway stations and tourist offices. The 60° version is suitable for passenger information systems, and the 30° ones produce 6300 mcd in superred, 12,000 mcd in amber and 6500 mcd in yellow. The blue and green versions operate on a typical forward voltage of 3.4 V.
