Prizmatix has announced its OptiBlocks line of modular optical building blocks that speed construction of optical setups for applications such as fiber sensors as well as imaging and multiwavelength detection systems. The assembled system can be used in initial prototype series for product evaluation and proof of concept. The blocks comprise a multimode fiber coupler, a beamsplitter, an LED light source and a photodiode or photomultiplier tube detector. The user builds a system by installing in-house optics inside the blocks and connecting the basic OptiBlocks.
