The Trig Workstation from Krell Technologies Inc. is designed for processing bare optical fibers. Fiber tips can be polished flat or at user-selectable angles with high precision. The shaping process is controlled by real-time video monitoring, and an in-line vision system enables inspection of the polished surface while the fiber is loaded into the machine. Adapters are available for various fiber types and diameters. An integrated polarization-maintaining fiber alignment feature preserves proper angle orientation.
