CARLSBAD, Calif., July 10, 2006 -- Melles Griot announced it has added it line of microscope components,
apertures and spatial filters to its online catalog, at

Melles Griot microscope bodies, which
accept all standard eyepieces, objectives, and accessories, are
available with coarse- and fine-focusing mechanisms. Accessories
include adjustable and angular eyepiece holders, a turret lens mount,
focusing stages and a microscope mounting plate. All Melles Griot
microscope objectives are achromatic and have industry-standard
microscope threads for cross compatibility. Color coding makes
identifying objective power easy when numerical markings cannot be
seen. The company said its microscope objective holders provide a
simple method of mounting microscope objectives or other components
with an RMS thread to mirror mounts and positioners.
Melles
Griot also offers spatial filter mounts along with a comprehensive
selection of pinholes, slits and adjustable iris assemblies for
laboratory and OEM applications. It said its pinholes and slits,
available mounted, unmounted, and in sets, are ideal for spatial
filtering, image analysis and spectrometry. Melles Griot pin-actuated
iris diaphragms provide a continuously variable field stop for
controlling the f-number of an optical system or for adjusting the
diameter of a beam. The leaf profile of the diaphragm is carefully
chosen to closely approximate a circular aperture throughout the
diameter range of each iris.
