Toptica Photonics_TA-670.jpgToptica Photonics AG has introduced a master oscillator power amplifier system that provides power up to 500 mW in the 658- to 670-nm range. The TA 100 is designed to serve as an economical replacement for dye- or frequency-doubled solid-state lasers. It offers single-spatial and spectral-mode output, narrow linewidth and tunability. The amplifier can boost the power of diode or gas lasers by a factor of 100, while maintaining the spectral properties of the master laser and achieving near-diffraction-limited beam quality. Modular packaging enables upgrades and amplification of more than one master laser. Applications include interferometry, holography, Raman spectroscopy, and atom cooling and trapping.
