Newport–Oriel–InstaSpec_hires.jpgNewport Corp. has introduced the Oriel InstaSpec IR CCD spectroscopic TE-cooled array with sensitivity equal to that of LN2 cooled detectors. With quantum efficiency between 950 and 1650 nm, the detector is suitable for Raman and photoluminescence applications. The 1024 × 256-pixel array achieves a maximum repetition rate of 30 Hz, exhibits a 16-bit dynamic range, and has a minimum gate width of 10 μs and nonlinearity of <2%. Ambient operating temperature is from 0 to 30 °C, with stability of ±0.1 °C over the entire range. PC connectivity is via a USB 2.0 interface.
