OPTEK_1Watt_nologo.jpgTT electronics Optek Technology has developed 1-W surface-mount LEDs with thermal resistance of 2 °C/W. The OVTL01LGAs, part of the company’s Lednium series of solid-state lighting devices, are miniature single-packaged LEDs that provide luminance of up to 38 lm and a full 120° viewing angle. They are available in amber, blue, green, red and white. The LEDs exhibit DC forward current of 0.35 A with a peak pulsed forward current of 1 A. Typical forward voltage ranges from 2.0 to 3.3 V, depending upon the color, and reverse voltage is 5 V. Maximum allowable junction temperature is 130 °C, and operating temperature is from –50 to 80 °C.
