Melles Griot manufactures electronic shutters for laboratory and OEM applications. Its IES series shutters include an adjustable iris diaphragm, X-synchronization and a manual actuation lever that allows the shutter to operate without an electrical signal. The company's UltraThin series shutters are designed to fit into restricted spaces. In both series, spring steel blades with a 
Teflon impregnated, black matte finish, coupled with a reliable, multiblade shutter mechanism guarantee high operational speed and near 100 percent light extinction as well as smooth and dependable operation, according to the company. Its new ExtremeService shutters with their temperature-insensitive design are highly suitable for harsh environmental conditions.
Melles Griot offers a family of four distinct, high- performance telecentric lenses for use in machine vision, metrology and precision-gauging applications. All provide low optical distortion and a high degree of telecentricity for accurate image reproduction, particularly when viewing three-dimensional objects.
Melles Griot also offers several different accessories to enhance the performance of its machine vision telecentric lenses. These include: teleconverters to increase magnification, right angle attachments for viewing of objects up to 360° about the optical axis, fiber-bundle collimators to provide collimated backlighting, and anodized mounting brackets for proper mounting of the Invarigon-R and Invaritar lenses.
