BAE Systems_COTS MIM_1.jpgBAE Systems has announced that the thermal imaging technology that it has developed for use on military weapon sights is available for commercial applications. The MIM500 series camera cores, based on proprietary MicroIR uncooled infrared technology, are being offered to OEMs and integrators of commercial and military products. They operate in progressive-scan mode and feature pixel-level genlock synchronization, and customization boards can be added directly into the module stack. The MIM500X version generates high-resolution 640 × 480-pixel images, and the MIM500H, 320 × 240.
