Clark-MXR Inc. has introduced an ultraviolet transient absorption pump probe system with 100-fs temporal resolution and a supercontinuum probe extending to 320 nm. The UV-TAPPS system is configured in an all-in-one box setup for measuring transient absorption. When combined with the LaserFlash option, its probe delay times are extended to microseconds. Molecular kinetic information can be taken directly from a scan of the temporal delay for a fixed setting of the spectroscope. The probe covers wavelengths from 320 to 730 nm and exhibits detection sensitivity of 1 × 10–4. The system is supplied with LabView software.
