PowerTechnology_IQ4Image.jpgA fiber-coupled distributed feedback instrument-quality laser diode module has been announced by Power Technology Inc. The 760-nm IQμ4x(760-5) emits 5 mW of output power with a spectral width of 2 MHz and can accommodate fiber-coupled 14-pin butterfly, DIP and DIL packages. The module features an onboard menu-driven microprocessor, a precision current source and a PID temperature controller, and it is available with 20-MHz analog beam modulation or 100-MHz digital beam modulation. It has a 1.5-in. diameter, is 7.52 in. long and can operate in either constant-current or automatic power control mode. Other wavelengths also are available.
