Precitec_Pressebild.gifThe CHRocodile M4 from Precitec Optronik GmbH is a thickness and roundness measurement system that performs noncontact inline inspections during the production of transparent and colored bottles and container glass. The modular instrument operates at a rate of 4000 measurements per second, and up to four independent measuring points can be used to record glass thicknesses between 2 μm and 35 mm. It can be integrated easily into existing systems and is configured via RS-232 and RS-422 interfaces, through which process-monitoring data undergoes digital output. Accuracy of measurement is unaffected by the temperature of still-glowing glass or by streaks caused by surrounding hot air.
