Sensoray’s model 314 is an mpeg-1/2/4 and mjpeg frame grabber that captures full-frame 720 × 480 video at a rate of 30 fps. Uncompressed video is available through the device’s PC/104+ bus for previewing. The frame grabber includes two synchronized audio input channels and a 9-bit A/D converter and offers on-screen display of text. It performs motion detection in three programmable regions of interest. Bit rates range from 800 kb/s to 10 Mb/s. Linux, QNX and Windows drivers are supplied, and a Fast Windows stream player also is available. Applications include medical and dental imaging devices.
