Vision & Control GmbH has introduced its vicolux Spot50 series spotlighting for use in machine vision applications that require large distances between the lighting and the test object. The units provide saturated and tightly collimated light at intensities of ≥300,000 lx. The adjustable and lockable focusing optics create spot diameters from 50 to 200 mm, which can be produced in all the typical wavelengths that are available for LEDs. Mounting is via M6 screws or via the Montech aluminum profile mounting system. The lighting optics can be shielded in harsh conditions by use of a protective plate that screws onto the filter thread of the unit.
