The Q series ultraminiature RoHS-compliant DC to high-voltage DC converters manufactured by Emco High Voltage Corp. include more than 50 models and supply from 100 to 5000 V in 0.1253 in. and up to 10,000 V in 0.6143 in. Output is directly proportional to the input voltage and is linear from ∼0.7 V to maximum input, resulting in controllable output. Output power is 0.5 W and output ripple is typically 0.05%, with further reduction possible with the addition of an external capacitor. The converters feature input/output isolation and short-circuit protection, and require no external components or minimum load.
