Braggone’s patented Luxone line of optical and electrical coatings and nanostructures can be implemented directly into flat panel TVs and mobile communications device screens for brighter displays and lower power consumption. Components manufactured with Luxone are typically ultrathin, and they include efficient reflectors and light extractors integrated inside the display devices. Coating deposition and patterning are performed via a vacuum-free process at low temperatures. Because the coatings are in liquid form prior to processing, they can be deposited with standard integrated circuit and flat panel process tools and with conventional printing equipment.
