Oerliken-Optics.gifAs part of its ColorWheel line of color management systems, the optics division of OC Oerlikon Balzers Ltd. has introduced the WhisperWheel Mini for digital light processing projectors. It uses a small air-bearing motor jointly developed with Copal Electronics Corp. It features a 15% increase in optical clear apertures and material removal balancing for increased lifetime and stability. With an operating speed of up to 14,400 rpm and an outside diameter of 55 mm, the device is suitable for the latest color technologies. It is based on a patented sputtering technology that achieves high filter performance.
