Alpha-Laser_for-Jan-PS-NP.gifAlpha Laser GmbH has released the AC 200 flexible laser cutting and welding system for handling 2- and 3-D metallic materials such as steel sheets, pipes and 3-D forms. It achieves a 100-mm/s positioning speed, an absolute accuracy of ±0.02 mm and a repetition accuracy of ±5 μm. It is controlled through a display interface, occupies 2000 × 1400 × 1400 mm of floor space and has a 500 × 450 × 350-mm working area. It employs a 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser. Air cooling is standard, but water cooling is available, as are laser sources of 50 to 200 W, a tilting and swiveling axis and various optics.
