PicoQuant GmbH has released version 2.0 of its programming library for the PicoHarp 300 time-correlated single-photon-counting system. The library supports simultaneous operation of multiple devices and provides drivers for the latest 64-bit version of Windows for the AMD 364 architecture. It provides four external marker inputs to support the hardware, enabling synchronization with virtually all imaging devices, including laser scanning microscopes. Fluorescence lifetime images can be recorded at nearly any resolution and size. The library provides easy access to the USB interface so that a sustained time-tagged time-resolved mode throughput of 5 million counts per second can be realized.
