HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., Feb. 22, 2007 -- Multimode Fiber Optics Inc., a manufacturer of fiber optic and optical products for spectroscopy, semiconductor processing, laser delivery, process control and other industrial, medical and military applications, announced the availability of low- and high-OH step-index fused 0.22-na (numerical aperture) silica fibers that transmit throughout the ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS) and near infrared (NIR) ranges.
Low-OH (hydroxyl ions) fibers are used for VIS/NIR applications, and high-OH fibers are used for UV/VIS (see attenuation curves at www.multimodefo.com for specific data).
These fibers have a fused silica core and cladding, and a polymer buffer for added protection. Fiber diameters of 100 µm to 600 µm feature a high temperature, high strength polyimide buffer, while the 1-mm fibers are buffered with nylon.
There are no minimum order requirements for this product. For more information, visit: www.multimodefo.com; e-mail: info@multimodefo.comMultimode Fiber Optics Inc.
