Lumics-GmbH.jpgThe LU1065F005 pulsed fiber laser from Lumics GmbH delivers an average optical output power of 5 W. The pulse energy is rated with 0.5 mJ at 10-kHz repetition rate and 100-ns pulse width. An ytterbium laser in a master oscillator power amplifier configuration, the system is programmable through a USB interface from 10- to 100-kHz pulse repetition rate and from 50- to 250-ns pulse width. It emits at a wavelength from 1060 to 1080 nm from an optical fiber. The optical output provides a beam quality of M2 ∼1.5. Specified at a standard length of 1.5 m, the fiber is terminated with a high-power isolator and collimator. The TTL control interface is specified with a DB9 connector. Measuring 270 × 120 × 50 mm, the device has rugged housing equipped with a power supply and driver software.
