Omicron_UVA_LED_Modul_EDMOD.jpgOmicron Laserage Laserprodukte GmbH has introduced the LEDMOD365.100, a thermoelectrically cooled UVA LED module that provides up to 100 mW at 365 nm. It is available in a free-emission 110° version and in a fiber-coupled model that can deliver up to 70 mW from 2-mm, 35 mW from 1-mm, and 5 mW from 250-μm plastic optical fibers. Applications include fluorescence excitation in biotechnology, UV-curing and characterization of photocatalytic processes. The modules are suitable replacements for mercury lamps and, with a power consumption of 12 W, can be used in mobile measurement instruments.
