Hamamatsu Corp. has released the Lightningcure LC-L1, a monochromatic LED spot light source for UV curing applications. The device provides a spot-focused wavelength of 365 ±5 nm, which delivers up to 2000 mW/cm2 with only a small rise in temperature on the illuminated surface. The light source features a compact size, low power consumption and a service life of 30,000 h. Light intensity and irradiation time are programmable, and up to four separate LED heads can be used in conjunction, producing a different irradiation pattern for each.
