The SGS1900 near-IR spectrometer, based on Fraunhofer Institut Photonische Mikrosysteme’s scanning grating technology and on a system design by CTR AG, has been released by HiperScan GmbH. The instrument uses a single uncooled InGaAs detector to scan from 1200 to 1900 nm with <10-nm resolution. It runs on Windows ME, 2000 and XP and operates from 15 to 35 °C. Average wavelength and photometric stabilities are ±0.5 nm and 0.3%, respectively. Single-scan measurement time is <10 ms. The instrument measures 100 × 80 × 75 mm, weighs 0.8 kg and is supplied with a mini-USB 1.1 interface and SpectraCon software.
