lGREEN Cutting Edge Optronics Inc. has unveiled a 6-W, near-diffraction-limited green laser. The Stiletto provides 532-nm output at 10 kHz by frequency doubling with an M2 <3. It provides high-peak-power pulses with optical pulse widths of 25 ns at 1 kHz and 50 ns at 10 kHz. The 532-nm unit is based on the standard HeNe-size IR version. A 3.5-in. extension containing the nonlinear crystal and dichroic set is attached to the output of the laser head for 532-nm operation. The Stiletto can be specified with a 2- or 3-mm rod.
