Fermion I Fiber-Coupled Lasers

Fiber-coupled lasers from 375 nm to 1600 nm are available with output powers from 10 mW to 60 mW from single-mode fiber. Power output is typically <1 percent variation with linewidths <0.1 for most lasers. For narrower linewidths, distributed feedback (DFB) lasers with ~2 MHz linewidth are available.

The Fermion I series is a simple to use turnkey system with power supply and all the safety features included. Laser power can be varied from the front knob or pulsed by an external voltage.

The OEM fiber-coupled versions are small compact lasers with the same characteristics as the Fermion I series but with added control of output power, temperature and modulation by an external voltage source. Monitoring pins for the laser power and temperature are available as well as enabling pins. These lasers can be coupled to PM fiber as well as multimode fiber.
