ILX Lightwave Corp. has developed the LDM-4990 TO-can temperature-controlled mounting fixture for low-power TO-can laser diodes in 9-, 5.6- and 5.4-mm package styles. Built for fast device insertion and removal, the fixture has a dip switch design that allows configuration for several devices, regardless of their pin assignments. An active temperature control range of –20 to 85 °C is possible with an integrated thermoelectric module and water-cooling channels. An optional rotating mounting post for the company’s optical measurement heads enables power and wavelength measurements.
