A UV adhesive with a 1.33 refractive index has been released by MY Polymers Ltd. The MY-133 is based on a highly fluorinated resin and can be used for fiber optic, lightguide and laser applications. It is clear and particle-free and has a viscosity of 500 to 1000 cps. Curing is achievable with any UV source. Typically, a dose of 500 to 1000 mJ per cm2 is needed. The company says that the MY-133 offers the lowest refractive index available for the enhancement of total internal reflection.
