The model FCS-8812 optical spectrum analyzer calibrator from ILX Lightwave Corp. supplies more than 50 acetylene absorption lines near the 1550-nm window. It is designed to be carried to an optical spectrum analyzer and to eliminate the need to remove the analyzer for lab calibration. The portable FCS-8812 gives any optical spectrum analyzer multiple reference points accurate to plus or minus 0.005 nm.
