Large-Core Multimode Optical Fibers
Fiberguide IndustriesRequest Info
Fiberguide Industries will exhibit its line of large-core multimode optical fibers featuring hard plastic clad standard silica core fibers with a numerical aperture (N.A.) of 0.39 and hard plastic clad low hydroxyl (OH) silica core fibers with an NA of 0.22 and attenuation of 3.5 dB/km @ 800 nm // 8.6 dB/km @
1060 nm, respectively.
Features include:
• High concentricity and core-to-clad ratio for excellent connection alignment, fiber core positioning and high transmission bundles
• Hard polymer coating increases fiber strength, reduces static fatigue in humid environments and protects fiber during buffer stripping to prevent breakage
• Robust PHCS bonding to prevent pistoning provides more stable crimp-and-cleave or epoxy terminations
• All materials are biocompatible and tested against USP Class VI
