Powerlase.jpgPowerlase Ltd. has unveiled the high-power Starlase laser series. The AO12 and AO16 Nd:YAG lasers are designed for the manufacture of plasma display panel televisions. The AO12 has a repetition rate of 5 to 20 kHz, 1200 W of maximum power and maximum pulse energy of 190 mJ. The AO16 has the same repetition rate, but a maximum power of 1600 W and maximum pulse energy of 250 mJ. The 2-kW model is designed to aid in the creation of laser-produced plasma as a light source for EUV lithography.
