The TM-2040GE GigE camera from JAI Inc. has 1600 × 1200-pixel UXGA resolution and software-selectable operation that allows users to choose between dual-tap mode at 34 fps with automatic channel balancing or single-tap mode at 17 fps. Using a 1-in. Kodak progressive-scan IT CCD sensor, the camera produces 12-bit linear images or 10-bit and 8-bit images that are modifiable by a user-defined look-up table for use in difficult lighting situations. Offered in monochrome and color models, it typically provides a signal-to-noise ratio of >58 dB. The device can perform either image-center or variable partial scanning.
