MPB Communications.jpgMPB Communications Inc. has introduced the VFL-P-592 compact 592-nm orange fiber laser. The air-cooled device is supplied in a modular package and delivers up to 200 mW of output power. It offers long-term stability of 0.02 nm and a beam quality of M2 <1.1. It operates in continuous-wave mode with active power stabilization, has an RS-232 interface and is cooled by a built-in fan. The device’s full-angle beam divergence is <5 mrad, its polarization is linear and oriented vertical to the base, and its degree of polarization is >99%. The operating temperature range is 10 to 40 °C. Applications include flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, photodynamic therapy and DNA sequencing.
