The Personal/Q1 is an electronic lab notebook launched by LabTrack LLC. It combines proprietary software with the portability of a mobile PC. Based upon the Samsung Q1 tablet PC, the system has a user-friendly word processor and an advanced relational database that stores up to 2 GB of notebook data. When it is combined with either the company’s Team or Enterprise software, users can check notebooks in and out from a master server database. Adding a monitor, a USB keyboard and a mouse turns the notebook into a fully functional Windows desktop PC. The 7-in. 800 × 480-pixel touch screen offers landscape and portrait orientation. Up to five users, each with a separate account, can share the stand-alone system.
