The DL-CS series superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLEDs) manufactured by DenseLight Semiconductors are available in 14-pin butterfly or 14-pin dual-in-line (DIL) packages, with 8-pin mini DIL and butterfly packages available upon request. The devices produce output from 0.2 to 45 mW and cover wavelengths from 800 to 1650 nm and spectral widths from 25 to 100 nm. They achieve a transverse electric/transverse magnetic ratio of >20 dB, direct modulation of up to 622 MHz and spectral ripple between 0.1 and 0.2 dB. They provide high electro-optical efficiency for lower power consumption and produce low coherence noise.
