Cascade Technologies.jpgThe Scientific LS-03-D manufactured by Cascade Technologies Ltd. is a quantum cascade tunable mid-IR laser driver system for use in laser spectroscopy, gas monitoring, combustion diagnostics and biomarker detection. It produces resolution of 0.01 cm–1, outputs up to 100 mW and delivers pulsed operation with up to 50-nm CW tuning. Features include an electronic driver that provides a low-noise voltage supply and stable thermoelectric control, USB connectivity for plug-and-play operation with stand-alone Windows-based software and LabView drives to facilitate integration into experiments. Rise/fall time is 10 ns, pulse repetition rate is <100 kHz, and pulse width is <1 μs.
