Immersion Silver Process
CRANSTON, R.I., Aug. 27, 2007 -- Technic Inc. has released Argentomerse NC, a nitrate-free immersion silver process for use as a solderable finish on printed circuit boards and other electronic devices.
Operating at a slightly alkaline pH, Argentomerse NC produces a thin, uniform deposit that meets the requirements of IPC-4553 (IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries, Specification for Immersion Silver Plating for Printed Circuit Boards).
This unique formula, unlike acidic nitrate-based systems, has a high tolerance for contaminates like chloride and copper. Coupled with Tarniban 60 post dip (metallic anti-tarnish protection), Argentomerse NC will provide 12 months of shelf life under normal storage conditions.
