Edmund Optics Inc. has released two TechSpec fast fixed-focal-length lenses that achieve object-space resolution of better than two line pairs per millimeter and that are available in focal lengths including 8.5 and 12 mm. The high-speed high-resolution lenses support up to 2/3-in. sensors, have a minimum working distance of 200 mm and provide an angular field of view >40°, corresponding to a 240-mm-wide field for the lens with an 8.5-mm focal length and 155-mm field for the 12-mm lens. Features include a low-profile housing, variable focus and iris adjustments with detents, and a C-mount interface for camera coupling.
