Suitable for automotive lighting designs, LCD backlighting and panel indicators, the device delivers 1500 mcd from a drive current of 20 mA. Using blue InGaN LED and yellow-emitting phosphor, the LED is available in a standard PLCC2 surface mount package. Maximum power dissipation is 114 mW, and typical forward voltage is 3.2 V. Operating at temperatures from –40 to 100°, the viewing angle is 120°.
