The PI-Max intensified CCD camera manufactured by Princeton Instruments Inc. uses the Gen III filmless intensifier for >50% quantum efficiency and subnanosecond gate speeds. The camera offers 5-MHz/16-bit operation at >15 fps, with gating down to 500 ps. It has an integrated programmable timing generator for precise synchronization with minimal insertion delay, and a high-resolution CCD with gated dual-image capability, producing two full-resolution images in 2 μs. A USB 2.0 plug-and-play interface with an optional fiber optic interface kit for remote operation is available. Applications include time-resolved imaging and spectroscopy.
