Available from Ibsen Photonics A/S, the I-Mon interrogation monitor performs real-time spectrum monitoring of fiber Bragg grating sensors. It is available as an evaluation kit, which includes an evaluation board, test software, a data acquisition board and a cable that provides plug-and-play operation. The maximum number of sensors that can be monitored is 26, minimum fiber Bragg grating spacing is 1200 pm/150 GHz, resolution is 1 pm, and dynamic range is 30 dB. The monitor operates over the 1529- to 1561-nm range, with input optical power from –50 to –10 dBm. Measurement frequency is 2.5 kHz.
