Wavelength Electronics Inc. has packed the FL500 low-noise laser diode driver with the WTC3243 high-stability temperature controller on a single board for use in applications such as spectroscopy, where the mode and linewidth of the laser diode are critical. User adjustments and status indicators are integrated, and all cables and a baseplate for chassis mounting are included. Online manuals and safety calculators are available. With the LDTC1020, the user can drive up to 1-A laser diode current, and with the LDTC0520, up to 500 mA. Both drive 2 A of thermoelectric current. Typical noise current is below 100 μA.
