Varioptic SA has created eight developer kits to facilitate the integration of liquid lenses. They support all stages of product development, from evaluation to integration to prototype and volume production. The products include the Arctic series liquid lenses 320, 414 and 416, the AFL872 lens module and the AFCM MI285 camera module. All can be integrated in variable-focus-range applications for consumer devices, including video- and smart phones, Web cams and personal digital assistants, and for industrial devices including bar-code and biometry readers, endoscopes and diagnostic instruments.
