DynamicStructures.jpgThe VF-90 linear piezoelectric amplifier has been launched by Dynamic Structures and Materials LLC (DSM) for space-limited and OEM applications. It is suitable for driving piezoelectric loads in actuators and stages and is compatible with National Instruments’ CompactRio and CompactDaq modular chassis, enabling its use in open- and closed-loop motion control applications. Maximum current output is 90 mA, bandwidth is >5 kHz, and electrical noise on the output is ∼2 mV rms. Factory-configured output voltage ranges are –30 to 150 V, –30 to 200 V, and ±100 V. The amplifier provides overcurrent, overtemperature and short-circuit protection. Low-voltage analog input signals are amplified with a gain of 40.
