It adds exact optical ray tracing, optical surface modeling and optimization to Mechanical Desktop and AutoCad, offering 3-D interactive optical modeling. It provides an easy way to study ray intersections, adjusting surface parameters such as location, direction and surface curvature, while providing instantaneous feedback in the form of ray trace, spot diagrams and rms spot size. The light path is shown clearly in the drawing, enabling users to design surrounding mechanics and baffling precisely.
