WT&T_Model-015.jpgModel-015, a pigtailed optical fiber collimator that has been unveiled by WT&T Inc., comprises a precise optical lens assembly and an ∼1-m-long connectorized fiber pigtail. The compact 5 × 30-mm device collimates the optical beam emerging from a multi- or single-mode fiber pigtail, or couples the collimated beam into single-, multimode or polarization-maintaining optical fibers. The diameter of the collimated beam is between ∼0.3 and 1.9 mm, depending on the fiber type. Operating wavelength range is between 450 and 2000 nm, operating temperature is from –10 to 65 °C, and maximum optical power is 23 dBm.
