Adimec_Opal.jpgAdimec Advanced Image Systems BV has introduced the Opal-1000m, a high-speed CCD camera for fast inspection applications. State-of-the-art sensors and proprietary electronics provide good linearity over the full dynamic range via optimized embedded video processing. Features include a Camera Link interface, channel matching to below noise level, automatic black and shading, and defect-pixel correction. The 1/2-in. CCD area array sensor has 1024 × 1024 5.5-μm square pixels. The camera produces up to 120 full-frame images per second, and a built-in frame memory decouples the asynchronous image acquisition and readout.
