The High Quanta series 4-megapixel true two-phase large-area CCD sensors have been released by Dalsa Corp. Three models produce 2084 × 2084-, 1044 × 1044-, or 524 × 524-pixel resolution, a data rate of 5 MHz and a linear dynamic range of >77 dB. Binning-dependent maximum frame rate is 1 to 12 fps, pixel size is 24 μm, and operating temperature is from –80 to
40 °C. Peak quantum efficiency is >75%. Applications include scientific imaging in low-light conditions, medical and industrial x-ray analysis, astronomy and computed tomography. The monochrome devices have a 100% optical fill factor and a region-of-interest feature.
